我最喜欢的一本书

书中的汤姆是一个天真、活泼的孩子。波莉妈是一个非常聪明的女人。希德是一个爱打汤姆小报告的弟弟。汤姆的爸爸却是个酒鬼。

Tom in the book is a naive and lively child. Mother Polly is a very clever woman. Sid is a brother who likes to beat Tom's little report. Tom's father is a drunkard.

汤姆是一个调皮贪玩、勇敢的孩子，他对学习没有兴趣，觉得枯燥。他过着乏味、呆板的生活。

Tom is a naughty, playful and brave boy. He has no interest in learning and feels boring. He leads a dull, dull life.

最令人惊心动魄的是《汤姆出家当海盗》和《为自己送葬》这两篇。自从汤姆离开家去当“海盗”后，波莉妈就卧床不起，喊着汤姆的名字。汤姆便回家暗访，汤姆知道了原来汤姆妈以为自己淹死了，周末准备为汤姆送葬。汤姆在周末来到了教堂，大家看到了这个死而复生的孩子，就不停地亲他。
