第一次独自睡觉

上一年级以后，我就产生了一个想法：我想有一个属于自己的“小天地”。于是，我就跟妈妈商量我要自己一个房间，要独自睡觉，妈妈高兴地答应了。还把二楼阿姨的房间给了我，阿姨搬到一楼的房间里，妈妈还给我买了一张新床和家具，把房间布置得很讲究，我也非常高兴。

After the first grade, I came up with an idea: I want to have a "small world" of my own. So, I discussed with my mother that I would like to have a room of my own and go to bed alone. My mother happily agreed. I also gave my aunt's room on the second floor. My aunt moved to the room on the first floor. My mother also bought me a new bed and furniture. I was very happy with the exquisite arrangement of the room.

晚上，我走进房间里，开始还是很兴奋的，可是一关上灯，我就害怕起来，冷气“呼呼”地吹着，好像妖魔鬼怪在飞来飞去。椅子、桌子也似乎也在跟我作对，有时发出一些奇怪的声音，吓得我不知怎么办才好。只好用被子盖住自己，捂得全身都是汗，眼睛也闭酸了，不知过了多久终于睡着了。

In the evening, I walked into the room and was very excited at first, but when I turned off the light, I was afraid, and the air-conditioner was blowing, as if ghosts and monsters were flying around. Chairs and tables also seem to be against me. Sometimes they make strange sounds, which frighten me into not knowing what to do. I had to cover myself with a quilt. I covered my whole body with sweat and closed my eyes. I don't know how long I finally fell asleep.

突然外面几声狗叫又把我吵醒了，又偏偏想起姐姐讲的那些很恐怖的故事，吓得我大叫了起来：“妈妈，快来救我啊！”可是妈妈睡得很香，听不见，我只好把被子盖在头上，稀里糊涂地又睡着了。第二天，我醒来了，发觉自己安然无恙。哦，原来都是自己吓唬自己，从那以后我再也不怕了。

Suddenly a few barks of dogs outside woke me up again, and I just remembered the horrible stories my sister told, which scared me to cry out: "Mom, come and help me!" But my mother slept soundly. I couldn't hear her. So I had to put the quilt on my head and fell asleep again. The next day, I woke up and found myself safe. Oh, I used to scare myself. I've never been afraid of it since then.
