过年

今天是除夕，晚上我们全家一起出动做年夜饭，我和爷爷负责看火，奶奶和妈妈负责煮饭，爸爸负责洗菜。不一会儿就要开饭了，我想我们全家一起动手做的饭一定很好吃。奶奶把菜端了上来，这都是我喜欢吃的菜。我们家还定下了一个规矩，是这样的：我和弟弟谁先把饭吃完谁就能拿到双倍的零花钱，我和弟弟开始了紧张的比赛，最终还是我赢了。

后来爸爸叫来了几个朋友打麻将，我和弟弟就在看电视，我们觉得一直看电视没意思。忽然一声巨响，天上开出一朵五颜六色的花儿，原来已经有人在放鞭炮了，我对爸爸妈妈说：“我们也去放鞭炮吧！”我觉得爸爸真是个胆小鬼，因为爸爸连鞭炮都不敢放，最后还是让妈妈放的。

Later, my father called some friends to play mahjong. My brother and I were watching TV. We thought it was boring to watch TV all the time. Suddenly there was a loud noise, and a colorful flower came out of the sky. Someone was setting off firecrackers. I said to my parents, "let's set off firecrackers, too!" I think Dad is really a chicken, because Dad dare not even set off firecrackers, and finally let mom set them off.
