除夕

今天是除夕，在我们祖先活着的时候，也有一段故事呢。

当时除夕也称做为年。年是一种可怕的怪兽，每年除夕的夜晚都来吃人。所以人又生气，又害怕，后来，大家都很了解年兽，又知道年最怕红的颜色、火光还有最响的声音。从那天起，人们就再也不怕年兽了。

这天，人们把红对联粘到了门上，在外面的院子里放火花和自己家做的爆竹。年兽来了，他一点也不相信自己的眼睛，家家户户的门上粘着红对联，院里放着火花、爆竹。年兽吓的撒腿就跑。第二天，每个人都给亲人、朋友拜年。所以，每年除夕人们都放鞭炮、贴对联。

在我国，除夕一般过的都一样，只不过，苏州的城外每年除夕晚饭时的时候，苏州城外有一座叫寒山寺的钟就会敲响。这个响声会传启遍苏州的每一个角落。
