今天下午第二节课，是张歆雨妈妈给我们上的。

The second class this afternoon was taught by Zhang Xinyu's mother.

首先讲的是北方的民居， 歆雨妈妈说：“因为北方天气太冷，所以人们就把房子都涂成红、黄、澄等颜色，这样比较热闹、温暖。而在南方，天气就比较暖和了，人们喜欢住木头房子，木头房子住起来冬暖夏凉。人们把房子都涂成白色和黑色。

In the south, the weather is warmer. People like to live in wooden houses, which are warm in winter and cool in summer. People paint their houses white and black.

歆雨妈妈还说：“木头房子虽好，但这种房子有一种坏处，就是木头房子怕火，着火后，火势容易蔓延，一幢房子着火了，火就很容易从这幢房子烧到另一幢房子，到时候，整个村庄都会烧毁的。”

Xin Yu's mother also said: "although the wood house is good, there is a disadvantage of this kind of house, that is, the wood house is afraid of fire. After the fire, the fire is easy to spread. When one house is on fire, the fire is easy to burn from one house to another, and then the whole village will be burned."

我在想，要是许多村庄都着火，那不是还会制造出大量的二氧化碳污染地球？二氧化碳可是会形成温室效益的啊（因为二氧化碳的吸热能力比其他的气体强）？温室效益将导致海啸、龙卷风和飓风都会变的越来越频繁，沙漠则会越来越干燥，到时候后果真是不堪设想。

I'm thinking, if many villages are on fire, wouldn't it create a lot of carbon dioxide to pollute the earth? Carbon dioxide can be a greenhouse gas? The greenhouse effect will lead to more and more frequent tsunamis, tornadoes and hurricanes, and more and more dry deserts. At that time, the consequences are unimaginable.
