我的家乡

我的家乡在风景优美的白云山脚下，北郊闻名之地—三元里。三元里有两处著名的文物，第一是三元里古庙，第二是三元里抗英纪念碑。1841年，英国军队来到三元里抢略，侵略了村民韦家的家人。村民们忍无可忍与英军搏斗，打死了好几个英国的士兵，村民们在三元古庙前商议抗英战斗，取了庙里的三星旗作指挥旗，对旗立誓，还组织成反侵略英军的一支大队伍。经过一天的奋战，打死英军200多人，三元里的村民大获全胜。 1950年广州市政府在三元里村口，立了一块纪念碑，正面刻着：“一八四一年在三元里反对英帝国主义侵略斗争中牺牲的烈士们永垂不朽”。

My hometown is at the foot of the beautiful Baiyun Mountain, the famous place in the northern suburb Sanyuanli. There are two famous cultural relics in Sanyuanli, the first is the ancient temple in Sanyuanli, and the second is the monument to resist the British in Sanyuanli. In 1841, the British army came to Sanyuanli and attacked the family of Wei family. The villagers couldn't bear to fight with the British army and killed several British soldiers. In front of the ancient temple of Sanyuan, the villagers discussed the fight against Britain, took the three-star flag of the temple as the command flag, swore to the flag, and organized a large group of anti aggression British army. After a day's hard work, more than 200 British soldiers were killed, and the villagers in Sanyuanli won. In 1950, Guangzhou municipal government set up a monument at the entrance of Sanyuanli village, with the inscription on the front: "the martyrs who died in the aggression against British imperialism in Sanyuanli in 1841 will be immortal.".
