My View on Face-lift 整形手术

When it comes to the phenomenon of face-lift, which is nothing new but still hot-discussed in this modern society, there is no complete agreement among people. Some people think it is beyond reproach, while others express their accusations for this behavior.

当谈到整形手术这一不是新生反而在现代社会中被热烈讨论的现象时，在人们之间并没有完全的同意与否。有些人认为这是无可非议的，而其他人则表示了对这一行为的谴责。

These people, who hold the former opinion, believe a nice face can increase one’s self-confidence. In addition, they believe it can enhance the competitiveness of those people whose profession asks for a perfect appearance. Only in this way can these people get a higher position among a number of competitors. However, others hold a totally different view. They express contempt for this practice. They believe that it is the inner beauty that could attract others’ attention for long. Besides, they think that what most professions emphasize is workers’ ability more than their outer beauty.

这些持着前一种观点的人们相信漂亮的脸蛋可以增加一个人的自信。此外，他们相信那些需要好看的外观的职业的人可以提高竞争力相反的观点。他们表达了对这种做法的蔑视。他们相信它是内在美才是可以长久吸引人的。此外，他们认为大多数职业强调的是员工的能力而不是外表。

As far as I’m concerned, I disapprove of people receiving face-lift surgery, because it has great potential dangers. If handled improperly, they will risk being disfigured or even losing their lives.

就我而言，我不认可整容手术，因为整形手术存在很大的潜在危险。如果处理不当，就会面临毁容甚至是失去生命的危险。

At least, we should take our health into consideration before making a decision to change facial appearance. After all, our health is the most important one.

至少，在整形前我们应该把我们的健康考虑进去。毕竟，健康才是最重要的。
