星期下午,因为晚上有客人来,所以妈妈带我到农贸市场,市场上人山人海,由于我还要买钢笔。情急之下,我们来到了路边一个卖菜的小摊上买菜。摊主是一位老爷爷,一看就知道是位饱经风霜的地道老农民。
On Sunday afternoon, because of the guests coming in the evening, my mother took me to the farmer's market, which was crowded with people, because I had to buy pens. In a hurry, we came to a roadside vegetable stall to buy vegetables. The owner of the stall is an old grandfather. At first glance, he knows that he is an old farmer who has suffered from wind and frost.
妈妈上前问了价钱,便开始与他谈判。可那卖菜的人斤斤计较,怎么也不肯降低半角钱。我在旁边不耐烦的催着妈妈,妈妈也着急了,便匆忙称上菜付上钱,急急火火地走了。谁知到了半路上,妈妈才发现钥匙不见了,怎么办?待会还有客人要来呢!想到这里,妈妈脸上露出了失望的表情。“肯定是忘在那摊子上了,丢了东西,谁会还给你,更别说那斤斤计较的老头了。你自认倒霉吧!”
My mother asked the price and began to negotiate with him. But the man who sold the vegetables was so haggard that he would not lower the half price. I was impatient to urge my mother, and her mother was in a hurry, so she hurriedly said that she would pay for the dishes and left in a hurry. 经过一翻激烈的思想斗争,妈妈还是决定回去碰碰运气,于是我们又朝市场的方向奔去。

到那里时已经是傍晚时分了,市场上人不多了。在昏暗的灯光下,我们看到了那位老大爷还在那儿,眼睛向四处望着,像是在等人。我和妈妈走上去,老爷爷认出了我们,他用那长满老茧的手把钥匙递给妈妈,妈妈向他会心地点了头,我们三个都开心地笑了。
It was evening when we got there. There were not many people in the market. In the dim light, we saw that the old man was still there, looking around, like waiting for someone. My mother and I went up. Grandpa recognized us. He handed the key to my mother with his calloused hand. My mother nodded his head to him. All three of us laughed happily.
望着眼前着朴实的老大爷,我还能说些什么呢?一股愧疚感由然而生。祝愿老人一生平安!
