在我的记忆里，父亲是严厉的，母亲是温柔的。

In my memory, father is strict, mother is gentle.

记得那是五年级下学期一次期末考试过后，我心中满有把握的父母亲说：“这次考试出的题目实在是太简单了，特别是数学，绝对能得95分以上，你们就放心等着我的好消息吧！”父母都很高兴，还给我做了许多好吃的东西，我心里美滋滋的。可真到了公布成绩的那天，我傻眼了，犹如晴天霹雳，我这个一向在班里名列前茅的优秀学生，在这一次考试中，竟然只得了89分！我忐忑不安的回到家，怯怯的把通知书递给父亲，父亲乐呵呵地接过通知书，“啪”通知书被狠狠地摔在地上，父亲的脸上立刻“晴转多云”。气冲冲的对我说：“怎么回事？你不是说能考95分以上吗！”我胆怯的说：“我，我也不知道，也许是我太粗，粗心了。”“给你说过多少次了，不要粗心，不要粗心，做完后认真检查，不要东张西望，你就是不听！”“好了，别对她那么凶了。”妈妈走过来，抚摸着我的头，亲切的说：“下次考好点，你可要努力呀！”我当时心里非常难受，下决心要努力学习，在下一次的考试中取得优异的成绩。果然，在下一次期末考试中，我以数学98分，语文97分，英语100分的优异成绩成为了全年级第一。

On the day when the results were announced, I was as stupid as a bolt from the blue. I was one of the best students in my class. I got 89 points in this exam! I returned home uneasily, timidly handed the notice to my father, who happily accepted the notice. "Pa" notice was severely thrown to the ground, and my father's face immediately turned clear and cloudy. Angrily said to me, "what's the matter? Don't you say you can score above 95! " I said timidly, "I, I don't know, maybe I'm too rough and careless." "I've told you so many times. Don't be careless, don't be careless. Check carefully after you've finished. Don't look around. You just won't listen!" "Well, don't be so cruel to her." My mother came over, stroked my head and said kindly, "next time you can do better in the exam, you have to work hard!" I was very sad at that time, determined to study hard and get excellent results in the next exam. Sure enough, in the next final exam, I won the first place in the whole grade with a score of 98 in mathematics, 97 in Chinese and 100 in English.

其实说父亲严厉也好，说母亲温柔也好，他们其实都有一个共同点，那就是爱，在爱的鼓舞下，我驾驶着我人生的小船努力向前驶去……
