Luck was certainly on the side of this North Carolinian — who won the lottery twice in a five-week span, according to a report.

Air Force Veteran Michael Buinicky, of Charlotte, hit his first jackpot — $100,000 — on Feb. 9 from the 100X The Cash scratch-off game.

"I got a Jumbo Bucks …from the vending machine," Buinicky said in a statement from the NC Education Lottery.
