体坛英语资讯：Public proposals of medal designs sought for 2019 Military World Games

WUHAN, May 19 -- The 7th Military World Games are starting to collect proposals for the medal and trophy designs from the public, the organizers said here on Friday.

The designs would demonstrate both the spirit of the Games as well as the cultural elements of the host city, said the organizers.

Deadline for the public proposals will be on June 30, then a panel of experts will make the shortlist of 10 proposals for both medal and trophy for the final selection process.

Apart from the Yangtze River which flows through the city, Wuhan has many a landmarks, including the household Yellow Crane Tower, and a number of relics, such as bronze swords.

The 7th Military World Games, slated for Oct. 18-27, 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, will feature nearly 10,000 athletes from more than 100 countries and regions to compete in 329 events out of 27 sports.
