美国财政部部发行面值2美元的熊猫'吉利钱'

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) at the US Department of Treasury released the $2 Lucky Panda note, the newest addition to the Lucky Money Collection.

近日，美国财政部造币和印钞局对外发行面值两美元的熊猫“吉利钱”，这是“吉利钱系列”的最新产品。

The crimson note features two lovely pandas, one sitting and one crouching, as well as wishes for longevity and happiness in Chinese.

这款“吉利钱”为深红色，上面印有一坐一卧两只可爱的熊猫，以及“福寿双临”的中文祝福语。

The product is exquisitely designed with decorative Chinese symbolism and is packaged in a red folder with embossed, gold foil, according to BEP Marketing Director Kevin Brown.

造币和印钞局营销总监凯文·布朗称，该产品设计精巧，带有中国特色的装饰性图案，吉利钱被放在红色封套中，上面饰有金箔。

This "auspicious" product also features an uncirculated $2 Federal Reserve note with a serial number beginning with "888," as 8 has long been regarded as the luckiest number in Chinese culture.

这款吉祥产品还有一枚非流通的两美元美联储纸币，编号以“888”开头，因为在中国文化里8一直被认为是最吉利的数字。

Tracy Garrett, BEP public affairs specialist, said pandas symbolize peace, harmony, and friendship.

The note is sold for $12.88 through online stores, phones, mail.
