全球首款可折叠柔性屏手机正式发布

Royole Corp, a manufacturer of flexible displays and smart devices, unveiled the world's first foldable phone last Wednesday, which can be bent and rolled to function both as a smartphone and tablet.

上周三，柔性显示器及智能设备生产商深圳柔宇集团发布了全球首款可折叠手机，该设备能弯折、卷曲，可同时实现智能手机和平板电脑的功能。

The product, known as the FlexPai, is equipped with the Shenzhen-based company's latest flexible display technology.

这款名为柔派的产品采用了柔宇最新的柔性显示器技术。

The 7.8-inch high-resolution screen is 7.6 millimeters thick and can be bent over 200,000 times.

其高分辨率屏幕大小为7.8英寸，厚度7.6毫米，可弯折20万次以上。

Bill Liu, founder of Royole, said that the FlexPai, priced from 8,999 yuan, is designed so consumers need not buy smartphones and tablets at the same time.

柔宇创始人刘自鸿称，柔派起售价8999元，设计这款产品是为使消费者无需同时购买智能手机和平板电脑。

Liu said he hopes the company's ultra-thin, transparent and flexible electronics will help reshape the future of smart home, automotive, consumer electronics and wearable products.

刘自鸿表示，希望公司这款超薄、透明的柔性电子设备将有助于改变智能家居、汽车、消费类电子产品和可穿戴产品的未来。

To achieve that objective, Royole also said that it will invest 200 million yuan to encourage startups to create more content including games for the company's new device.

为了实现这一目标，柔宇公司还表示将投资2亿元，来鼓励初创公司为新设备创造包括游戏在内的更多内容。

Royole attracted global attention in 2017 when it released the world's thinnest full-color AMOLED flexible display screen, which can be bent or rolled.
