世界各地的毕业典礼：传统与创意的碰撞

No matter what your degree, or where you got it from, graduation is always going to be a time to celebrate your achievements and give yourself a well deserved pat on the back.

不管你读的是什么学位，不管你是在哪里读的，毕业了就要好好庆祝一下你的学习成果，好好表扬一下自己。

From turning up in fancy dress to jumping in a fountain, graduation traditions around the world range from the weird to the wonderful.

世界各地的毕业传统五花八门，有穿搞怪服装的，有跳喷泉里的，真是无奇不有。

1. The United States Air Force Academy, Colorado

1、美国科罗拉多州：美国空军学院

The USAFA famously lays claim to the 'hat toss' tradition adopted by so many other universities. Combined with a spectacular flypast, theirs is still the original and best.

扔帽子的传统最早是从美国空军学院开始的，其他大学都是效仿他们的。加上精彩的飞行表演，他们的毕业典礼不仅经典，而且还是最好的。

2. University of Bristol, UK

2、英国：布里斯托大学

Graduands at Bristol are unusual in that they don't wear mortarboards at all, because once, according to legend, too many got thrown from Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge, and it was deemed a 'hazard'.

布里斯托大学的毕业典礼很特别，他们学不戴士帽，因为传说有一次有很多学生的学士帽从克里夫顿悬索桥上飞下来，他们觉得太危险了。

3. Oxford and Cambridge Universities, UK

3、英国：牛津大学和剑桥大学

At the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, a fur-lined hood is worn, traditionally across the shoulders (not over the head!). Part of the ceremony is also conducted in Latin, to the general bemusement of most students.

牛津大学和剑桥大学的学生会戴一条毛边头巾，按照传统是披到肩上（而不是戴到头上！）。毕业典礼中有些讲话是用拉丁语讲的，大部分学生都是不知所云。

4. Stanford University, US

At Stanford, California, graduating students wear a lurid pink and orange stole instead of the traditional hood.

在加利福利亚洲的斯坦福大学，毕业的学生不戴传统的连领帽，而是挂一条艳丽的粉红加橙色的长带子。

5. Kanazawa College of Art, Japan

5、日本：金沢美术工芸大学

At this Japanese art school, you can wear anything you want, which annually whips media outlets into a frenzy. The annual ceremony has become so famous that TV crews turn up each year to see what the students are wearing.

在这所日本大学的毕业典礼上，学生想穿什么都可以，所以每年都让不少媒体为之疯狂。他们一年一度的毕业典礼非常有名，电视台每年都派人去拍学生的装扮。

...and by anything, they mean anything.

6. Yale University, US

6、美国：耶鲁大学

Not their actual graduation robes, but still, they look rather quirky.

他们真正的毕业服装不是这样子的，不过看起来是挺搞怪的。

The graduation at Yale last year was a rather blue event, as students donned protective plastic kagools in the drizzle.

耶鲁大学去年的毕业典礼简直是放眼一片蓝，因为那天在下毛毛雨，学生都披上了雨衣。

7. New York University, US

7、美国：纽约大学

After graduation at NYU, students like to cool off by jumping in New York’s Washington Square fountain, still wearing their full regal purple academic dress.

在纽约大学毕业之后，学生们喜欢穿着贵族紫的毕业服跳到纽约华盛顿广场的喷泉里凉快凉快。

8. Spanish universities

Spain's traditional approach towards graduation academic dress includes embellished cuffs, elbow length cape and a circular shape cap.
