女性独自旅行的9条小贴士

Here are my 9 tips for solo travel if you're a girl:

如果你是个女孩子而且要独自旅行，这儿有我给你的9条建议。

1. Be Prepared.

A well-considered itinerary helps me feel secure and keeps me occupied. I do a lot of research and planning before I get on the bus or plane or train. At the very least, as a female travelling alone, you should book your first night of accommodation before your arrival at your destination.

经过深思熟虑的旅行日程会让我觉得可靠，而且不会让我闲着。在我登上大巴、飞机或火车之前，我会做大量的研究和规划。至少，作为一名独自旅行的女性，你应该在到达目的地之前订好你第一晚的住处。

2. Look Purposeful.

Being prepared and knowing where you're going helps immensely with this. Don't show your ignorance, fear, and vulnerability while on the road -- it may encourage unwanted attention and invite others to take advantage of you. Bring a book to restaurants so you're not uncomfortably waiting for your food to come.

准备妥当，并了解你要去的地方，会对你的出行有极大的帮助。在路上的时候，不要表现出无知、恐惧或是脆弱，因为这也许会带来不必要的关注，让其他人利用你。去餐厅的时候带本书，这样你在等待上餐的时候就不会觉得不舒服了。

3. Take Walking Tours.

Kill two birds with one stone: Learn about your destination and battle loneliness at the same time. Walking tours are a great way to orient yourself, as well as meet other adventure-seekers discovering the same place as yourself. In all cases, strangers, became friends, at least for a little while.

一箭双雕：了解你的目的地，同时与孤独做斗争。徒步参观是为自己确定方向的一个好方法。而且，徒步参观会在相同的地方发现和你一样的探险者。不管在什么情况下，陌生人都会成为朋友，至少是一阵子的朋友。

4. Stay In Hostel And Be Sociable.

Most hostels have common rooms and host community building events. If sharing a room with strangers creeps you out, you can always stay in a private room -- many hostels have them. Prefer to stay in a hotel? No problem. Many hostels post events on their websites, and you don't necessarily have to be a guest to attend. Don't miss out on a prime opportunity to meet other travellers!

大多数旅舍都有公共休息室，而且会举行社区建设活动。如果和陌生人分享一个房间会吓着你，你可以一直呆在包间里——许多旅舍都有包间。比较喜欢呆在酒店里？没问题。许多酒店会在他们的网站上公布他们的活动，不是客人你也可以参加。不要错过与其他游客碰面的好机会。

5. Dress Appropriately.

Yes, I know we should be able to dress any way we want. But try to conform, at least with your clothing, to cultural norms, and dress conservatively in countries (and/or tourist sites) where it is expected.

是的，我知道我们可以按自己想要的方式打扮。但是至少尽量让你的服饰符合文化规范，在要求穿着保守的国家和（或）景区穿的保守一些。

6. Be In Touch.

Always have an emergency contact number at hand, and let people at home know your whereabouts. A simple but good idea would be to take a few index cards and write down all pertinent contact information that can be used by yourself and/or others in case tragedy strikes. Keep them on your person and distribute in case of emergency.

手边始终要有一个紧急联系电话，让家里的人知道你的行踪。一个简单的好方法是拿几张索引卡片，写下你自己可能会用到的所有相关联系方式，和（或）万一发生其他不幸的事情时，会用到的联系方式。随身携带这些卡片，在紧急情况下分发下去。

7. Avoid Negative Attention.

Sometimes negative attention, in particular from males, cannot be helped. My simple rule is to not engage: I ignore, I deflect, I keep it moving. I don't respond to taunts or negativity. I remove myself quickly from situations where I am a target.

有时候，负面关注，尤其是来自男性的关注，可能是没有法子的。我的简单原则是，不要参与：忽视它，转向一边，不断移动。我不会响应嘲弄或否定。我会迅速远离以我为目标的处境。

8. Find A Sister In Crime.

Who better to understand your plight, your fears, and your concerns than another female travelling on her own?
