Eddie Redmayne is getting all the praise for his performance as Hawking, and quite rightly. It is a wonderful piece of work and you wouldn't bet a cent right now against Redmayne picking up the Oscar. But for me, it is the quiet, unflashy and perfectly calibrated performance of Felicity Jones as Jane that gives The Theory of Everything its heart and soul.
