奥巴马下馆子刷卡遭拒 被疑信用卡欺诈

Speaking at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, President Barack Obama on Friday mentioned this recent encounter. He attendees his credit card had recently been declined at a restaurant, forcing the First Lady to pick up the tab.

“Rich, I should mention, by the way, that I went to a restaurant up in New York when I was there during the General Assembly, and my credit card was rejected,” Obama said, referring to CFPB Director Richard Cordray.

Press reports indicate the restaurant was Estela, rated one of the best new restaurants of 2017.

“It turned out I guess I don’t use it enough. So they thought there was some fraud going on,” Obama said.

The president said he turned to his wife to pay the tab.

“Fortunately, Michelle had hers. And I was trying to explain to the waitress, no, I really think that I’ve been paying my bills.”

这家餐厅是仓南山餐厅（Blue Hill at Stone Barns）的一位前职员所开。而奥巴马一家人在这个暑期刚刚在这家餐厅出席他们的御用大厨的婚礼。
