He was on a dock in Fort Pierce when he watched a fellow angler reel in a strange creature, according to the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission.

据佛罗里达野生动物保护委员会（FWC）消息，史蒂夫当时正在匹尔斯堡的一个码头，突然看到一位同行渔夫钓上了一只奇怪的生物。

He told FWC that the catch, which looks like a shrimp, was about 18 inches long.

他告诉FWC工作人员，那是一只看上去很像虾的生物，却长达18英寸（约0.46米）。

FWC says scientists suspect it might be a mantis shrimp ... which it says is not related to shrimp but is a type of crustacean called a stomatopod.

FWC称，科学家认为这可能是一种螳螂虾。螳螂虾不属于虾，而是一种叫做口脚类动物的甲壳动物。

从此再也不敢嘲笑“虾兵蟹将”了吧！
