The winner of Friday's ice hockey semifinal game between Team USA and Canada advances to the gold-medal game at the Winter Olympics. The loser, apparently, has to keep pop star Justin Bieber.

That's the bet purported by this Chicago billboard, which features Chicago Blackhawks stars Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, who are on opposite sides of Bieber and the semifinal game.

Bieber, of course, is a Canada native who found fame as a teen pop star and then turned into a young bratty adult in the U.S.

The "Loser Keeps Bieber" idea isn't necessarily new — many have cracked similar jokes, but putting it on a billboard with two famous Chicago hockey players is taking things to a new level.

It's the work of Command Transportation, a freight broker with an electronic billboard that creates some buzzy displays, routinely from the world of sports.

Command Transportation owner Danny Zamost said it's the first time his company had put Bieber on its electronic billboard.

"We try to keep this low-key," said another executive, who wished to remain anonymous. "We just have fun. We don't use the sign other than to have fun."

Even if this is a joke, it's still a good enough reason to root for Team USA.
