SHENZHEN, China, Aug. 3 -- Kylian Mbappe and Angel di Maria scored as Paris Saint-German beat Rennes 2-1 to lift the French Super Cup for the seventh consecutive year here on Saturday.

Adrien Hunou opened the scoring for Rennes in the 13th minute. Mbappe equalized for PSG in the 57th minute and Di Maria scored a beautiful free-kick in the 73rd minute.

PSG nearly took the lead in the 11th minute as Sarabia Garcia's powerful header hit the bar. Only two minutes later, Adrien Hunou cut in to put Benjamin Bourigeaud's cross home.

PSG also missed other first-half chances to equalize as Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani's efforts all went wide.

The Ligue 1 champions then dominate the second half. Mbappe sent Sarabia's cross into the back of net in the 57th minute to pull the match level. Two minutes later, Sarabia missed the chance to score as his attempt went off the bar.

Di Maria, who replaced Herrera in the second half, fired a curving free-kick to send keeper Tomas Koubek hopeless in the 73rd minute.
