GAZA, Aug. 27 -- Two Palestinians were killed on Tuesday night in an explosion southwest of the Gaza City, medics and security officials said.

Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Health Ministry in Gaza, told reporters that the two killed Palestinians are security officers, adding that three other people were injured.

An official press statement of the Hamas-run Ministry of Interior said that the security forces are investigating the explosion.
