South Korea's figure skating queen, Kim Yu-na, on Monday finally put an end to persistent speculation about when she'll retire from the sport.

周一，人们对韩国花样滑冰女皇金妍儿(Kim Yu-na)何时退役的猜测终于画上了句号。

During a nationally televised press conference, she said she would have another shot at Olympic gold at the next winter games in Sochi, Russia, in 2017.

金妍儿在资讯发布会上说，她将参加2017年在俄罗斯索契举行的下一届冬季奥林匹克运动会，并努力争夺金牌。这次资讯发布会向韩国国内做了电视直播。

The 21-year-old Kim read out a pre-written script in a calm voice but didn't look up, showing the nervousness and pressure she was feeling.

21岁的金妍儿用平静的语调念了一份事先写好的发言稿，但是一直没有抬头，这显示出她的紧张和身上的压力。

"I skipped last season and had a lot on my mind about my career, even until last week," she said, "I had trouble finding my next goal after winning a gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics but the interest of the public and my fans in me got even bigger."

她说，我没有参加上个赛季的比赛，对自己的职业生涯有很多焦虑，甚至在上周还是这样。当我在温哥华冬奥会拿到冠军后，我难以再次找到目标，但是韩国民众和粉丝对我的关注和期待却与日俱增。

"I wanted to get away from the pressure, even for a single day," she confessed.

她坦言，我甚至想从这种负担中解脱出来，哪怕一天也好。

After she recently started teaching practice as part of her studies for a physical education degree she faced critics such as Hwang Sang-min, a well-known psychology professor, who called her stint "insincere" and "just a media show." Kim sued the professor for defamation in May but dropped the charge in mid-June.

最近开始了攻读体育教育学位所需的教学实习后，金妍儿遭到了一些批评。韩国知名心理学教授黄相口(Hwang Sang-min)批评她在教学实习期间不用心，仅仅是在作秀。金妍儿5月份以诽谤罪起诉了黄相口，但在6月中旬撤诉。

During the press conference on Monday, Kim said she overcame the pressure by talking to herself, "If I give up my career as a skater simply because I fear I won't show my best performance, I would be really sorry later in life," she said. Watching and practicing with younger skaters over the past year also gave her motivation to restart, she added.

在周一的资讯发布会上，金妍儿表示，她通过与自己对话的方法战胜了压力。她说，如果我因为担心无法拥有最好的表现而不能继续自己运动生涯的话，今后一定会后悔。她还说，过去一年观看比赛以及和后备选手一起训练的经历也给了她重新开始的动力。

"I always thought the Vancouver Olympics would be my last destination, but I'm extending it to Sochi...I want to start anew, not as an Olympic medalist but just as yet another figure skater," she said.

金妍儿说，我以前一直把温哥华冬奥会设定为自己运动生涯的终点站，现在终点站延长到了索契冬奥会。她说，我想要重新开始，不是以冬奥会金牌获得者的身份，而是作为一名普通的花样滑冰运动员。
