Drinking coffee may decrease the risk of heart and respiratory diseases, as well as stroke and diabetes, and thus, help you live longer, Discovery News reported.

据探索资讯网报道，饮用咖啡或可减少患心脏病、呼吸系统疾病、中风及糖尿病的风险，因此能够延年益寿。

Research results published on the May 17 issue of New England Journal of Medicine show that death rates over a 13-year period among men and women who drank coffee decreased with a greater number of cups per day, up to six.

该研究成果刊载于5月17日版《新英格兰医学期刊》上。这项持续时间达13年的研究表明，人们的死亡率随着每日咖啡饮用量的加大而降低——不多，最多六杯。

Still, while high coffee consumption was previously thought to have adverse health effects, this study adds to the growing body of recent findings that show higher coffee consumption is not harmful, and in some cases may have health benefits.

此外，早前有说法认为咖啡摄入过量会对健康产生不良影响，但越来越多的新研究显示，多喝咖啡不仅无害，而且在某些情况下还有益处。本研究更是应证了这一点。
