Hotels are turning to children's fantasy icons - such as Barbie, Shrek and Snow White – to sell rooms and attract families, USA Today reported. Children, after all, can be a powerful influence with their travel-buying parents. In Paris, the swanky Hotel Plaza Athénée will convert some rooms into Barbie-themed rooms for the month of August. Entire suites are being decked out in the style of Barbie right down to the bathroom fittings and pillow cases to completely immerse guests in a world of fantasy. Bringing in fantasy could also help hotels fetch higher prices – up to 50% more than for a regular room or hotel stay.(See photo)
