9.27世界旅游日：旅游连接文化

Since 1980, the United Nations World Tourism Organization has celebrated World Tourism Day on September 27. This date was chosen as on that day in 1970, the Statutes of the UNWTO were adopted. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide. This year’s theme is a celebration of tourism’s role in linking together the cultures of the world through travel.

自1980年起，世界旅游组织将每年的9月27日定为“世界旅游日”。之所以选择这个日期，是由于在1970年的这一天，国际官方旅游联盟（世界旅游组织的前身）通过了将要成立的世界旅游组织的章程。（小编注：此外，这一天又恰好是北半球的旅游高峰刚过去，南半球的旅游旺季刚到来的相互交接时间。）该节日的目的在于强调旅游在国际社会交往中的重要角色，以及对世界范围内社会、文化、政治以及经济所起到的推动作用。今年旅游日的主题是“旅游连接文化”。
