出租车司机大叔也有暖暖的温柔！

The other day, I was travelling on an app-based cab.

有一天，我乘一辆网约车出门

My daughter was accompanying me.

我的女儿和我在一起

It was hot and humid .

天气闷热而又潮湿

We stopped at the traffic signal.

我们在一个红绿灯前停了下来

Suddenly, there was a tap on the window.

突然，有人来敲窗户

A homeless man was standing outside in the heat.

一个流浪汉站在窗外，受着烈日炙烤

His hands were crooked and shaking.

他的双手痉挛，瑟瑟发抖

He could not speak properly

他有点口舌不清

but explained in both signs as well as some unintelligible words

用手语，加上一些难以理解的言词，总算解释清楚了自己的意思

that he was very thirsty

他口很渴

and wanted some water to drink.

想要喝点水

Just as I opened my purse to give him money for a water bottle,

我打开钱包，想要给他些钱，让他去买一瓶水，恰在此时，

I was pleasantly surprised to see the cab driver’s thoughtfulness.

我发现出租车司机已经做出了一件十分暖心的事情，让我又吃惊又欣慰

He rolled down the window

他把窗户摇下来

and gave the man a big unopened cold water bottle

递给流浪汉一瓶没有开过的冰镇矿泉水

which he must have purchased for himself.

他一定是原本打算买给自己的

The man took the bottle,

流浪汉接过水瓶

walked hurriedly to the curb

快步走到马路牙子边

and sat down,

坐了下来

gulping the water thirstily.

贪婪的大口大口喝着水

I silently thanked Life

我在心中默默的向生活感恩

for putting such kind, generous and thoughtful souls into a world

为世界上还有这样善良，仁慈，贴心的人存在而感恩

slowly going towards apathy and a non-caring attitude.

为这个逐渐走向冷漠和隔绝的世界还有这种人存在而感恩
