智能牙刷诞生 高速清洁牙齿

Philips have unveiled the latest in oral hygiene with the impending release of the world's first USB-powered toothbrush. The gadget which features the USB port will set consumers back ?250 but is being dubbed by the manufacturers as ‘the iPod of toothbrushes’. With five brushing modes and a two-minute timer, the makers promise to improve gum health in as little as 14 days. Furthermore, it has a 30-second interval timer that encourages even brushing and whitens teeth. Users have the added benefit of a ‘charge glass’ for wireless charging that will notify them when the batteries have been fully charged via the USB socket.

While Philips have used the plug on other appliances such as electronic music players, laptops and other bathroom devices, the HX 9332 is the company's first attempt at extending that to toothbrushes. Cosmetic dentist Dr Bill Dorfman remarked: 'Philips Sonicare has taken innovation to a whole new level with AirFloss and DiamondClean. 'As an innovator and entrepreneur, I draw inspiration from brands that use both science and consumer insights to develop new technologies that meet people's needs, and ultimately, improve their lives.'
