BEIJING, Dec. 11 -- Defending champions Liaoning defeated Shenzhen 120-99 in the 18th round for their seventh straight win in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league, while Guangdong overwhelmed Tongxi 124-106, leading the league with an amazing record of 18 consecutive wins.

Shenzhen made a good start at home and led the first half 26-24, 32-27. Lester Hudson scored 27 points in the third quarter, helping the visiting Liaoning to bounce back with a 43-20 run.

With two foreign guards Kenny Boynton (24 points) and Dwight Buycks (15 points) though, Shenzhen couldn’t take back the lead and saw their three-game winning streak snapped. Han Dejun, Li Xiaoxu and Brandon Bass all earned double-double for Liaoning.
