第八季不是终结 《权游》三部衍生剧即将开拍

追了多年的神剧《权力的游戏》眼看就要剧终了，现在是看一集少一集。但是粉丝们不用担心剧荒，因为据原著作者马丁大叔透露，HBO已经确定将制作三部《权游》衍生剧，其中一部今年就要开拍。

Apparently, HBO is working on not one, not two, but three spinoffs of the wildly popular show.

显然，HBO正在制作这部超级热门剧的衍生剧，不是一部，不是两部，而是三部。

George R.R. Martin, author of Game of Thrones and executive producer of the HBO series based on the fantasy novels, wrote in his official blog lately that three GoT “successors shows”—he dislikes the term “spinoffs”—are “moving forward nicely.”

乔治·R·R·马丁日前在自己的官方博客中写道，三部《权游》衍生剧（他用的是successors shows，因为他不喜欢spinoffs这个词）目前“进展良好”。乔治·R·R·马丁是《权力的游戏》原著作者，也是这部奇幻小说改编电视剧的监制。

This is good news for fans of the decade-long television juggernaut, which after Sunday’s episode will be over halfway through its final season. In 2017, Martin said that there would be five GoT spinoff/successors developed by HBO, but we learned last month that one of these—a rumored prequel from one of the show’s main scriptwriters, Bryan Cogman—had been nixed.

对于追了这部神剧长达十年的粉丝来说，这是一个好消息。如今《权游》最终季播出已过半。2017年，马丁曾说过，HBO将制作五部《权游》衍生剧/续集，但是上个月我们得知其中一部衍生剧（据传是《权游》主要编剧之一布莱恩·考格曼写的前传）已经被砍掉。

As for the three green-lighted successors, Martin writes that, “the one I am not supposed to call THE LONG NIGHT will be shooting later this year, and two other shows remain in the script stage, but are edging closer.” Indeed, the so-called Long Night, a prequel, has already been cast.

对于三部获准拍摄的续集，马丁写道：“今年晚些时候会开始拍摄《长夜》（但是剧名不会叫《长夜》），另外两部剧还在编剧阶段，但很快会收尾。”马丁所说的前传《长夜》已经确定好演员阵容。

The Hollywood Reporter and other outlets are reporting that two-time Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts has been tapped to star in HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel series. Watts will reportedly lead an ensemble cast, playing “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret.”

据《好莱坞记者报》和其他媒体报道称，曾两次获得奥斯卡奖提名的娜奥米·沃茨将出演HBO的这部《权游》前传。据报道，沃茨将领衔主演这部剧，饰演一位“隐藏黑暗秘密、具有超凡魅力的社会名流。”

While little is known about the prequel series’ plot, HBO has teased that it will cause fans to rethink what they already know about the “horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history” and “the true origin of the White Walkers.”

As for the content of the other two, Martin suggested that “maybe some of you should pick up a copy of FIRE & BLOOD and come up with your own theories.” According to Deadline, Fire & Blood became a New York Times bestseller after it was published last year. It takes place 300 years before the events of the current Game of Thrones, and chronicles events around House Targaryen following the Doom of Valyria.

至于另外两部剧的内容，马丁暗示说“也许你们应该读读《火与血》，得出你自己的猜测。”据Deadline网站报道，《火与血》在去年出版后就成为《纽约时报》畅销书。《火与血》发生在《权游》所处年代的三百年前，讲述瓦雷利亚的末日浩劫后坦格利安家族的故事。

HBO has long been clear that it wants to maximize the mojo that is GoT.

"In the press at large, everybody said, 'there are four spinoffs' and they assume that means each one is happening and we're going to have a new Game of Thrones show per quarter," HBO programming president Casey Bloys told EW two years ago.

It remains to be seen how many of GoT’s spinoffs come to fruition. But we have our fingers crossed that Martin will have time to conclude his A Song of Ice and Fire series—the inspiration for the current Game of Thrones show—which saw its last installment in 2011, and has yet to be completed.

最后能拍成几部《权游》衍生剧尚未可知，但是我们祈祷马丁能有时间写完他的《冰与火之歌》系列——《权游》的灵感来源，上一部《冰与火之歌》出版于2011年，目前该系列还未完结。
