WASHINGTON, Nov. 1 -- Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard J.R. Smith is seeking a trade, local media reported on Thursday.
The 14-year veteran is underperforming this season, averaging a career low 2.5 points per game and playing only 12 minutes per game.
The Cavs are in a state of transition recently after former coach Tyronn Lue was fired due to a 0-6 start to the season.
Smith said the hardest part is that he is not getting a chance to compete anymore, which led to his trade request.
