HANOI, Sept. 22 -- Vietnam's national men's football team has topped Southeast Asia for nine consecutive months, according to the latest FIFA rankings.

Vietnam is now ranked 102nd in the world followed by the Philippines (114), Thailand (122), Myanmar (138) and Indonesia (164).

Iran tops Asian countries and regions in 33rd place, tailed by Australia (43), Japan (54) and China (76).
