HANOI, Aug. 8 -- Sichuan beat Yunnan 3-2 in an all-Chinese affair match to make it to the semifinals of the international women's volleyball tournament here on Wednesday.

Other three semifinals are teams from Vietnam, Kazakhstan and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Vietnam's central Ha Tinh province.

Vietnam's national squad crushed its U-19 team, Altay club from Kazakhstan beat the Taipei University club from Chinese Taipei, and the DPRK team whitewashed Hokkaido University club from Japan with the same score of 3-0.
