　　one用来替代前面出现的单数名词，是泛指概念，通常替代a/an+单数名词；the one用来替代前面提到的特指的单数名词，后面总是有后置定语，有时可用that替代（尤其是在有后置定语的情况下）；ones 用来替代前面出现的复数名词，也是泛指概念；the ones 用来替代前面的特指的复数名词，有时可用those 替代（尤其在有后置定语的情况下）；that 用来替代前面出现的单数可数名词或不可数名词，只能指物，不能指人，相当于the+单数名词或不可数名词。It指代前面提到的事情或事物，强调同一性。例如：
