我国经济增长目标引发全世界关注

With China's economic growth slowing in 2016 to a 26-year low, the world is watching as the Chinese government prepares to announce this year's growth target in early March at the national two sessions.

随着2016年中国经济增速降至26年来新低，全世界都在关注中国政府准备在三月初召开的全国两会上宣布的2017年增长目标。

Although the pace still beat most major economies, the country's year-on-year growth has slowed for six years in a row.

尽管这一速度仍然高过大多数主要经济体，但是中国已经连续六年经济增速同比有所放缓。

Huang Yiping, a member of the central bank monetary policy committee and an economist at Peking University, said that the government should set a more flexible target for economic growth in 2017 to make more room for reforms, proposing a target range of 6-7%.

央行货币政策委员会委员、北京大学经济学家黄益平称，政府2017年经济增长目标的设定应该更灵活，为改革留出更大空间。他建议的目标区间为6-7%。

The Asian Development Bank, however, forecast in December that China's growth would be 6.4% in 2017, while the World Bank was more optimistic, keeping its earlier prediction of China growth in 2017 at 6.5% in January, in line with the forecast made by government think tank Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

而亚洲开发银行去年12月预测的2017年中国经济增速为6.4%。世界银行则更加乐观，1月份，该行维持了其先前对2017年中国经济增长6.5%的预测，这与政府智库中国社科院做出的预测一致。

Either way, China's growth would remain within a reasonable range and is unlikely to become a "black swan" event of the world economy in 2017.

无论如何，中国的增长将保持在合理区间内，不太可能成为2017年世界经济的"黑天鹅"事件。
