　　combine，mix

　　(1)combine表示相结合在一起时仅是彼此结合或贴近，但仍保持自己的特性，并可在合适的条件下重新分离。

　　(2)mix指把两者或两者以上的东西混合、搅和在一起，是普通用词，可与together连用。

　　【句法分析】　It is the same with...“也”“与……情况相同”，表示前面的情况也适合后者，相当于“So it is with...”。

　　①Tom likes singing，but he doesn’t enjoy dancing.It is the same with Mary.

　　汤姆喜欢唱歌，但他不喜欢跳舞。玛丽也是如此。

　　②He is a Southerner and he likes rice very much.It is the same with me.他是南方人，特别喜欢吃米饭。我也是。

　　1)“so＋系动词(助动词或情态动词)＋另一个主语”表示前文中的肯定情况也适合于另一个主语。

　　2)“so＋(原来的)主语＋系动词(助动词或情态动词)”表示对前文所述事情的认可或赞同。

　　3)so it＋be＋with＋另一个主语

　　(1)该句型表示前文所述的综合情况也适合于另一个主语。

　　(2)该句型可替代“neither/nor＋系动词(助动词或情态动词)＋另一个主语”。

　　③She didn’t come.So it was with her sister.(＝Neither/Nor did her sister.)她没有来，她妹妹也没有来。

　　(3)当前面句子中的主语支配着两个或更多个不同种类的谓语动词时，只能用此句型。

　　④John’s father is a model worker and has done a lot of good deeds all his life.So it is with Bob’s.

　　约翰的父亲是一位模范工作者，他一生做了很多好事。鲍勃的父亲也是如此。

　　(4)当前面的句子有两个谓语动词，分别为肯定形式和否定形式，用so或neither(nor)均无法解决时，只能用It is the same with...句型。

　　(5)当前面的句子是并列句时，也只能用此句型。

　　⑤Wei Fang is a Chinese girl，and China is her homeland.So it is with Zhou Lan.

　　魏芳是个中国姑娘，中国是她的祖国。周兰也是如此。

　　4)主语＋表示看法、意见等的动词＋so

　　此句型中的so是一个宾语从句的替代词，表示说话者赞同上

　　文所说的情况或事实。表示看法、意见等的动词主要有：think，believe，expect，suppose，imagine，guess，say，hope，fear，be afraid等。

　　⑥—Peter is an honest man.彼得是个诚实的人。

　　—I think so.(＝I think that Peter is an honest man.)

　　我认为是那样的。

　　⑦—Will you be able to help us？你能帮助我们吗？

　　—I hope so.(＝I hope that I will be able to help you.)

　　我希望我能。

　　⑧—Have they put off the match？他们已推迟比赛了吗？

　　—I’m afraid so.(＝I’m afraid that they have put off the match.)恐怕是这样。
