　　Michele Langlois is a young Canadian who works for the police as a handwriting expert. She has helped catch many criminals by using her special skill.

　　When she was only fourteen, Michel was already so interested in the differences in her school friends’ handwriting that she would spend hours studying them. After finishing college she went to France for a special two-year class to learn how to analyze handwriting at the School of Police Science. On her return, she began her work for the Quebec police.

　　Michele says that it is impossible for people to disguise (伪装) their handwriting. 　　“When one of the doctors criticizes me, I get defensive. I feel like a child again, being scolded, and I want to explain that I’m not wrong.” says Viola, a nurse. This is a common reaction to criticism, but not a good one. There are better ways of dealing with criticism.

　　Packaging（包装）is an important form of advertising. A package can sometimes motivate someone to buy a product. For example, a small child might ask for a breakfast food that comes in a box with a picture of a TV character. The child is more interested in the picture than in breakfast food.
