Flamengo announced on Wednesday its second addition to the 2011 soccer team. After goalie Felipe, the team acquired Argentinean midfielder Dario Botinelli.
The soon-to-be 24-year-old played for Chile' s Universidad Catolica in 2010 while on a loan from Mexico' s Atlas. The athlete began his career with Argentina's San Lorenzo and also played for Racing.
Flamengo' s club president Patricia Amorim promised that the administration is working diligently in order to gather a strong team for next year after a disappointing performance in the 2010 Brazilian Championship.
Amorim admitted that the possibilities of receiving star midfielder Ronaldinho Gaucho are low, but claims she has not given up hope. Amorim said that more reinforcements are on the way.
