Tyson Gay cruised to a 20.00 seconds victory over the 200 meters at the London Grand Prix on Saturday.
The American reigning world champion over 100 and 200 meters and the fastest man over both distances this season showed that triple Olympic champion and world record holder Usain Bolt will not have it all his own way in the Berlin world championships next month.
He produced a blistering first 100m that allowed him to stroll home well clear of compatriot Wallace Spearmon (20.35) with no sign of the groin soreness that has been troubling him in recent weeks.

Gay ran 19.58 two months ago, the third fastest 200m ever behind Michael Johnson (19.32) and Bolt's world record 19.30.
His 9.77 is also the fastest 100m of the season and he travels to Berlin as a realistic challenger to Bolt after a hamstring problem ruined his chances at last year's Olympics.
Bolt, who eased to victory in the 100m in 9.91 on Friday, is scheduled to run in the 4x100m relay later on Saturday.
