体坛英语资讯：Ze Roberto gives favor to Corinthians transfer

Ze Roberto, Brazilian midfielder playing in Bayern Munich, gave the Corinthians his word that he will give the team a priority in his transfer on Saturday. The news came days after the player announced his desire to return to play in Brazil. Although not definite that the star will return to Brazilian soccer, should he, he promised to give Corinthians the first opportunity at negotiations.

The president of the Corinthians soccer team, Andres Sanchez, continues to deny any sort of meetings or negotiations between him and the player.

He said that any sort of promise from player is purely a personal decision and nothing more.

However, the club did admit that some type of interaction has taken place. They verified for the first time that a preliminary discussion has transacted. But, the talks are in the very first stages and are not very advanced. They also praised the player for his high level of ability and his professionalism, but maintain that nothing has materialized that would bring Ze Roberto to Corinthians.

A week ago, Ze Roberto told the media that the only Brazilian club that attracts him is Corinthians. After hearing his statement, the Santos soccer team's administration declared that the player had verbally agreed to play for the team in the future. Ze Roberto formerly played for Santos in 2007.
