President of the Uruguayan Soccer Association (AUF), Jose Luis Cobos resigned on Thursday to his charge, as he is tired of the problems and critiques to his managements, in a public letter. In his letter, Corbo said that he leaves the place for other to take it "for sure with more aptitudes and more acquired" and with "more inclination to synchronize the traditional and not shared (soccer) codes."

So, in this way the new to arrive "could take with more receptiveness than me, the particular and segmented requirements, always present," Corbos said.

On January, Corbo has received "special powers" for 60 days to make the changes in the chaotic operation of the AUF, which finished on Monday.

In last days many soccer clubs questioned Corbo's management and said that some of his measure favored big clubs like Nacional and Penarol.

Corbo took charge in 2006 and Thursday noon he let know his decision to the members of the Executive Board of the AUF.

Members from the Executive Board said that they will try to convince Corbo to stay in his charge till the national team plays for the eliminatory to the World Cup against Paraguay (March 29) and Chile (April 1).
