西城故事 (West Side Story, 1961)
该片是一部集歌曲、舞蹈、服装、舞台等各方面都到极高水准的音乐剧，情节源自莎士比亚的名剧《罗密欧与朱丽叶》，描述一位美丽的波多黎各犹太教女孩与纽约西区的天主教男孩双双坠入爱河，但这份爱却被严格的种族法令所禁止。片中女主角的服装新颖独特，籍此，本片获得了第34届奥斯卡最佳彩色片服装设计奖。
剧情介绍：
影片里的西区是纽约的贫民窟集中地。那里有两个少年流氓集团：一个叫"喷气机"，由白人组成，头头是里夫；另一个叫"鲨鱼"，由波多黎各人组成，头头是贝纳多。这两个集团势不两立，经常在街头挑衅格斗。后来，里夫的好友托尼同贝纳多的妹妹玛利娅一见钟情。为了所爱的玛利娅，托尼想让双方化干戈为玉帛，但又事与愿违，他也被卷入冲突的漩涡里。最后，里夫，贝纳多，玛利娅，托尼都死于互相的手下，应该说，是一个绝对的悲剧。
