　　Now that we totally do not need the consignment, we have no choice but to inform you to return us the invoice value and the inspection charges in the total amount of 320,000 US Dollars. As soon as the claim is settled, we will return the said consignment to you immediately.

　　As is shown in the graphs, there exists a definite link between world population and the amount of energy consumed around the globe. The fist diagram describes that from 1900 to 2050, the world population will dramatically increase from 1.6 billion to 9 billion. It is illustrated in the second bar chart that China has effectively controlled its population growth rate by staying at 7.0 percent in 2003, 4.7 percent lower than the average world rate. As is revealed in the third table, between 1900 and 2000, the amount of world energy consumed substantially rose from 0.5 billion ton coals to 23 billion ton.

　　The purpose of the charts is to show us that population explosion becomes a serious problem. First and foremost, population growth has put enormous pressure on world food supplies, making it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to avoid hunger and starvation on a massive scale. Furthermore, destruction of the land has also increased as the growing amount of natural vegetation removed to make room for more houses, roads and highways. Last but not least, the rise in population is accompanied by desire of people in mounting numbers for increasingly less job opportunities, and few and few natural resources to raise their living standards.

　　Briefly speaking, food shortage, environmental destruction and the lowering of the quality of life are the certain results if we are not able to solve it. To begin with, we should appeal to the authorities to control world population. In addition, we should cultivate the awareness of people that family planning policy is extremely essential to China. It is time that drastic measures were taken by the authorities to change the situation.
