　　The Project Hope

　　Education plays a very important role in the development of China . As is k nown to all , China has the la rgest population in the world and most of them live in the countryside . Since the economic condition s there are ra ther poor , many families , especially in the remote ar eas , can not afford to send their children to school , many children have to drop f rom school . The Project Hope is aimed at solving this problem so that every child of school age can r eceive r egular education .

　　The Project Hope mainly depends on the cont ributions of the urban people and overseas Chinese who care about the development of China s education . T he cont ributed money will be dist ribut ed by Project Hope council to the countryside to help the children who cannot afford the education . One hundred yuan will help such a child finis h his primary education

　　Project Hope i a good way to promot e the education in the rur al areas , but it is fa r from being sufficient . By now, only a small por tion of the children benefit f rom it . T he refore ,I suggest that gove rnment at all levels and people of all walks of life pay mor e at tention to the problem and do much more to help r aise the educational level of the country .
