　　It may be that when his life at last comes to an end he will leave no more trace of his sojourn on earth than a stone thrown to a river leaves on the surface of the water.

　　要点：本句的知识点与第14期节目的知识点一样，都是no more...than或not any more...than结构。注意：than后面的从句在形式上是肯定的，而在意义上是否定的(一定要牢记!!!!!)。表面上表示不同等的比较，实际上是等同关系。

　　译文：也许他的生命一旦结束，他的一生将不会在世界上留下什么痕迹，就像投入水中的石子不会在水面上留下什么痕迹一样。
