语法与惯用法知识点：惯用语as it is的理解与用法

　　用法一：其中的as 表示像一样按的样子，as it is 的意思是像它现在的这个样子按原样按照它实际的情况。如：

　　Leave it as it is. 听其自然。

　　Its good enough as it is. 照现在这个样子已经很不错了。

　　They agree to buy the house just as it is. 他们同意照房子原状买下来。

　　用于二：表示对目前的情况所作出的判断，尤其强调目前的情况与原来料想的不一样。通常译为实际上照现状看看样子。如：

　　We cant take on any more workwere fully stretched as it is. 我们不能再接别的工作了，我们已是在拼命了。

　　He seemed to be around fifty, but as it was, he was over sixty. 他看上去只有 50岁左右，但事实上他已经60多岁了。

　　As it is, he is a noble-hearted man with profound thinking. 事实上，他是一个心灵高尚，思想深刻的人。

　　I thought I might be transferred but as it is I shall have to look for a new job. 我以为我可能调动工作，照目前情况看我得另找工作了。

　　We were hoping to have a holiday next weekas it is, we may not be able to get away. 我们原来盼望着下星期放假看样子走不了了。

　　I hoped things would get better, but as it is they are getting worse. 我本来是希望情况会变好的，可照现在的样子看，情况是越来越糟。

　　用法三：表示已经早就是，与 already相似。如：

　　Just keep quietyoure in enough trouble as it is. 不要吵闹，你们惹的麻烦已经不少了。

　　I cant helpIve got too much to do as it is. 我不能帮忙了我已经有不少工作了。

　　Dont say anything else; youre in enough trouble as it is. 不要再说了，你现在已经够麻烦的啦。
