初三生每月都有考试，平时还有单元测试。考生在这段时间，要把主要精力用在认真整理每次考试和练习中摘录出来的错题上，对错题一定要知道正确答案，并再次分析以前错误的原因，反复记忆，保证做过的题目不再丢分。
考生在现阶段要以复习基础知识为主，包括理清时态、记忆典型句式结构和固定词组的用法等，保证基础知识不丢分。时间和精力允许的考生还可适当进行完形填空和阅读题的练习。
临考前，对不同体裁的文章，考生还要有针对性地背诵几篇典型、优秀的英语作文，并着重记忆范文的结构和文中引用的典型事例等，进而积累自己写作的素材，保证考试中写作文时能够有事可写。
考生考前还要坚持听力训练，每天可用10至20分钟“磨磨耳朵”，听一些短文，提前让“耳朵”进入考试状态。
