精,泛听相结合，一直是推荐同学平时坚持的两种练习。于雅思出题特点，需要精听，于综合语言提高，需要结合泛听。
实践运用：有听到过这样一句疯话叫做听力是听出来的，口语是说出来的，阅读是读出来的，写作是写出来的，仔细品味不无道理。没有量的变化，怎么能有质的飞跃?
在学习英语过程中必须精、泛相结合。若要学习听力，那就大量地听各种磁带，听英语广播，看英语电视，看英文电影。如要学习英语口语，那就尽量多说英文。学习英语不能太急于求成，因为只有有了量，才能有质的飞跃。
具体操作时，泛听，也并非指什么材料都听。也要根据自己的水平，去选择难度适当的材料。材料的话剑桥系列是比较好的练习语音的来源,而且对考试最有针对性,当然BBC、VOA都是比较好的来源。
精听可以选难度适中的材料，每放一句，便写一句，力求听出每一个细微的单词。当然，也可以结合模仿原则，进行有目的性的跟读。不管是听写还是跟读，如果一遍不行，单句重新来过，并总结自己听不出来的原因。另外可以选择整个段落连续播放，边听边做笔记。当然，每次精听的时间不宜过长，半个小时集中听的话就够了,材料不宜过难。
