That figures. “果然如此”、 “早知如此”。固定说法，记住就可以了。

I’m not surprised!

What else is new?

这对我来说还是个资讯。

Did you hear that Mr. Jones is sick?

(你听说琼斯先生病了吗?)

That’s news to me.

(这对我来说还是个资讯。)

I wasn’t aware of that.

be aware of ... “注意到……”。

This is the first I’ve heard of it.

(这是我第一次听说。)

I didn’t know that.

I hadn’t heard that.

(我没有听说。)

I haven’t heard that before.

大家都知道。

The manager and the president had a fight.

(经理和董事长吵架了。)

Everybody knows about that.

(大家都知道。)

manager “经理”、 “管理人”。president “董事长”。fight “吵架”、 “打仗”。

everybody “每个人”。

That isn’t news to anyone.

So, what else is new?

(还有什么资讯?)

It’s just gossip.

gossip “闲话”。

It’s just hearsay.

hearsay “谣言”、 “流言”。

完全是谣言。

I heard X Company is going under.

(我听说X公司要破产了。)

That’s not true. That’s a groundless rumor.

(那不是真的，完全是谣言。)

go under “ (公司或计划等)破产”、 “倒闭”。

groundless “没有根据的”、 “没有事实依据的”。rumor “谣言”。

That rumor has no truth to it.

It’s just a rumor.

(那只是谣言。)

That is an unfounded rumor.

(那是个毫无根据的谣言。)

unfounded “没有根据的”。

There’s no truth to the rumor.

谁告诉你的?

X Company is suing us.

(X公司要起诉我们。)

Who told you that?

(谁告诉你的?)

sue “起诉”。

Who gave you the news?

What’s your source of information?

(你的消息是从哪里来的?)

source “ (消息等的)出处”。

这只是一种直觉。

Why do you think that?

(你为什么那么认为?)

It’s just a hunch.

(这只是一种直觉。)

hunch “直觉”、 “预感”。

It’s just a guess.

guess “猜测”、 “臆测”。

It’s just a feeling.

I just have a feeling.

I just sense it.

sense “ (通过五官)感觉”。
