　　2011年3月5日，是毛主席发表“向雷锋同志学习”的47年纪念日。雷锋的出生普普通通，雷锋的事业平平凡凡，但他的精神却无比的伟大。近50年来，雷锋精神激励着一代又一代的新人。今日的世界由于经济的高速发展表现出更为宽阔的空间，然而，我们曾经火热的心灵却开始变得冷漠，有些本不该变的东西也在变：同住一栋宿舍楼，同学之间相见却不相识;与人方便与己方便，成了互相利用的通行证。曾经，我们几十年来敬仰、崇拜和学习的榜样已经被越来越多的人认为是傻子。然而，无论时代如何变化，那些决定人类向前发展的基本要素没有变，那些人类任何时候都在追求的美好事物没有变。

Once upon a time, the role models we have admired, worshipped and studied for decades have been regarded as fools by more and more people. However, no matter how the times change, the basic elements that determine the development of human beings have not changed, and the beautiful things that human beings pursue at any time have not changed.

　　四十多年了，雷锋的名字是激励几代人成长的路标，四十多年了，古老而年轻的中国正在蓬勃的发展，然而，雷锋的名字却随着我们生活的美好而渐渐远离了我们。有人质疑，有人嘲笑，有人批判，然而，无论我们经历多少变化和困惑，他的名字应该永远刻在我们心头，他的精神应该是我们学习和生活中永远的指南。因为，一个人要获得成功与幸福，不能缺少雷锋精神;一个学校要想发展，不能缺少雷锋式的好学生、好教工。

　　无论我们从事什么，都不能缺少雷锋精神。再平凡的人都可以做出不平凡的贡献，只要我们的人生观是正确的，我们的学习生活就会有无尽的原动力。取得成功最重要的不是我们能力的大小，而是一个人的道德品质。任何时候，雷锋身上助人为乐、爱岗敬业、积极进取、勤俭节约的品质都是我们不断学习的精神宝库。雷锋精神是不受时代限定的，无论现代科技怎样发达，无论人们的生活方式怎样改变，雷锋对世界和他人真诚的爱心永远是人间渴求的那种温暖。

　　一个没有英雄的民族，是一个悲哀的民族;然而一个有英雄却不知尊重、不知珍惜的民族，则是一个可怜的民族。雷锋是我们这片古老的土地孕育出的一位平民英雄。雷锋从来不会离开我们，而我们却曾经几度远离了雷锋。是的， 几十年来，我们的生活发生了翻天覆地的变化，我们再也不要穿带补丁的衣服了，再也不用忍受饥饿了，再也不用像雷锋那样经历那么多苦难了。但是，我们不应该忘记他。无论我们的生活多么丰富多彩，我们永远也不应缺乏雷锋身上那种对他人和世界的关怀与爱。

　　为了更好的弘扬雷锋精神，提升大家的思想道德水平，体现华中大学生特有的风范。校社会实践中心希望借此启动仪式，呼吁大家学习雷锋精神，传承中华美德。同时，动员各班将活动开展到班级，让更多的人加入到学雷锋的浪潮中。

　　为了不让本次活动过于形式化，仪式将不会带有太多的纪念色彩，而是本着雷锋同志朴实无华的人生理念，为大家提供一个交流、沟通的机会，更好的了解本次活动的意义。同时，请各院系部门的代表将雷锋精神传递给更多的人，带领大家向雷锋同志学习，做一些力所能及的事，将雷锋精神付诸行动。
