7月1日，中国足协正式公布了2020赛季中超联赛的开赛时间。

2020年5月8日，中超球队江苏苏宁2020中超联赛原定于2月22日启动，但受新冠肺炎疫情影响被迫按下暂停键。中国足协7月1日宣布，2020中超联赛将于7月25日开赛。
